If you call Peoples Church home or you already support the church from a distance, you know what The Greater Project is all about. It's about serving. First of all thank you to those who have given already. For those still considering it, we still need your help. There is so much that we want to do for our our community, including those here at home. Our new 2,500 sq. ft. children’s area will feature: A Large, 2-storey, indoor playplace for preschoolers and school age children, Separate softplay area for infants and toddlers. This new space offers children a great environment to engage and explore with others, participate in free play, and increase their gross motor development. These areas will allow the children to have a different environment that is always full of fun!
When you bring your family or guests to church, the playplace will be open before and after the service for the kids to have fun.
Your contribution will bring our new playplace to life and create opportunities for all families to enjoy it, regardless of their financial situation, by offering support for party bookings.
One of our goals to support those in ways we previously couldn't. This Sensory Room is big step in achieving that goal. The sensory room will be a valuable tool in various and broad mental health settings. Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Crises De-escalation are just some of many. In Hamilton alone, there is a conservative estimate that 100,000 could benefit from the Peoples Sensory Room.

If you've attended Peoples Church you know we are very passionate about having our building accessible for all people. We want to be able to provide fully for our community. As we strive to meet children, families, and staff where they are at, we know that our building design and layout has inherent limitations. As well, to support all our project outcome goals, there was much that had to be updated and brought to code.
A needed foundation for better accessibility for our members, guests, and community. We don't want to leave anyone out who wants to come in.
This infrastructure upgrade and your gift will support more community and church programs, more people, and allow us think bigger for years to come.

You've seen the incredible impact of Peoples Community Sports, thanks to your giving and to the dedication of a full-time resource to manage it all. Now, we're ready to dream bigger and offer even more, such as Peoples Community Arts and Music. Or imagine new programs for seniors, engaging activities for children and adults – from financial literacy to pickleball – creating a vibrant hub where families and members connect. To bring these vital programs to life and ensure their success, we anticipate the need to secure another leader. This allows us to expand our reach and serve more of our community than ever before.

Our current gym is by far the most used space by our community. Whether it is our free community programs, outside sports leagues, offering it to local charities, or Little Peoples - the current gym is at capacity. The plan is for a new, larger, double gym. Building the new gyms will be the last phase of The Greater Project, and will depend on community or corporate partnerships. If you know anyone that would like to be involved please contact us.

The gym will be a versatile space for community events, offering financial assistance to make bookings accessible to families from all income levels.
Peoples has spent over 50 years serving Hamilton with no barriers, no strings attached — just care. From founding a daycare in 1974 to launching Ontario’s largest free youth sports league, the mission has always been simple: create spaces where people belong.The Greater Project builds on that legacy — expanding support for families, kids, and community through inclusive, purpose-built spaces designed for everyone.
